Choosing an Instrument
Learning music is fun, and some children enjoy the social activity
of music making without ever moving onto an instrument any more
sophisticated than a recorder. Some, however, will want to dedicate
themselves to a particular instrument, and their good initial
grounding in theory both allows them to make the right choice
(whether the preference is for blowing, bowing or tapping) and to
make quick progress when they do. I can assist in locating good
instrumental teachers and provide ongoing lessons which allow
children to experience music making, with their chosen instrument,
in an ensemble situation.
