After many years of teaching, I know than no one method can
provide the answer to teaching the varied concepts of music. I use
proven methods such as Kodaly and Orff, but add a blend of
Dalcroze, folk dancing to develop an appreciation of form and
phrasing, rhythm and beat. These elements are combined within the
context of thematic lesson plans supported by carefully developed
visual aids.
